Daisy Haye - Retirement Living and Extracare in the Staffordshire Moorlands
What is Retirement Living?
Retirement living is the name given to a new form of housing for the over 55’s, which can offer older people an independent lifestyle where you can be as active or relaxed as you want with all the facilities provided for your convenience and enjoyment on your doorstep. All apartments are designed to make life as easy and enjoyable as possible, offering the best in retirement accommodation, situated in a truly desirable development with a tailored care package to suit your needs.
Daisy Haye, a fresh new start to retirement living
Daisy Haye is a retirement living development on Ball Haye Road in Leek, Staffordshire. The development consists of 88 apartments for the over 55’s and is brought to you by “Ascent”, an innovative joint venture between Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and Your Housing Group.
Communal facilities include a reception area, bistro, lounge, hairdresser & beauty salon, multi-purpose hobby and craft room incorporating a library & computer area, pamper & assisted bathrooms and landscaped gardens. Additional features consist of CCTV security and on-site organised health and social activities.
At Daisy Haye there is a dedicated and trained care team to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with an individual tailored support plan depending on your needs. Our aim is to create a balanced community where older people stay independent as long as possible but have ready access to care and support at the level required. A range of care and support needs can be met by Daisy Haye as long as a social worker feels that your needs can be met and the care provider is able to meet those needs and the package is affordable.
If you have no personal care or support need and you wish to rent an apartment you will need to be able to demonstrate that you would derive a social benefit from moving into Daisy Haye such as feeling less alone or less isolated or that you would feel more secure or have increased peace of mind.

How do I apply to rent?
To begin your application to rent a property at Daisy Haye, you will need to register with Home-Options (click 'Register' in the top right-hand corner of the screen) and highlight your requirements on the application form. Alternately, you call us on 01538 380600 (option 1).
How are applicants prioritised?
Care and support needs will be taken into account when considering applications for rental apartments.
In order to achieve a balanced community at Daisy Haye priority may not always be given to those with the highest care need. In order to maintain the community balance we would aim to have a mix of residents ranging from those with little or no care need to those with a high care need. Your application will be considered by an allocations panel consisting of a representative of the landlord and a representative of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council with input from the care provider. This panel will match your application to the vacancy and will consider your care and support needs in relation to the existing mix at Daisy Haye.
If you would like any further information or assistance to complete your application please call us on 01538 380600 (option 1).
